Smashing this song and my headcanon that Dash's dad is in the GIW together to make a fic Idea where the GIW finds out Danny's identity and tells on him to his parents in their hunt for phantom --

Dash's dad leads the operation, him and his team (along with the Fenton parents) cornering Danny after school while he's hiding/running away from Dash, forcing transform in order to get away; unbeknownst to either party, Dash witnesses everything and runs after Phantom to try and help.

Que the two stumbling into and getting trapped in the ghost zone in a confused scuffle while Danny's trying to escape, now on the run from three (3) parents and one (1) secret government organization.

I kinda wanna use this premise to explore how Dash would progress through learning Phantom is Danny, and then (separately!) becoming a better person--

-- I think he'd be super annoying about it at first; idolizing Danny, pestering him a bunch about how cool it is to have ghost powers, generally acting way too close with him, and completely pushing aside how he treated Danny before the revelation.

Most of the situations we see Dash become friendly towards/respectful of Danny in-show are usually after Danny has shown himself to be physically strong/confident (see: Pirate Radio), and even then, Dash doesn't proceed to do any introspection at all and continues to bully him.

Conclusion: Learning Phantom = Danny would not be enough to trigger a redemption arc for Dash. This boy needs to learn some empathy.

Dash actively witnessing Danny having issues despite being powerful as Phantom (i.e. fearing and having to run from his parents, the toll fighting ghosts takes on his school/life/mental health, etc.), as well as being confronted with how privileged he is himself (having a loving, attentive family, being much better off financially, etc.) would force him into being more introspective.

Throw in him realizing the parallel between how the GIW treats Phantom with how he treats Danny (i.e. indiscriminate & unreasonable anger & violence), and -boom!- it clicks for him

Country singer Steve Harrington, who has always leaned more into the pop country side of things (think Wanted by Hunter Hayes), but wants his third album to be more true to old school country roots.

His label agrees but only if he works with Eddie Munson, a rock star who had to leave the spotlight when he got kicked out of his band for, well, rockstar behavior gone too far.

Steve isn't amused, especially because he doesn't care for metal music or rock star shenanigans. He was "raised better" and doesn't think Eddie could sit down and write songs with actual emotion and feeling.

Cue long songwriting sessions where Eddie is trying his hardest to be on his best behavior because he knows this is his last shot at being taken seriously, and Steve being surprised every time Eddie proves that he's talented as a songwriter and musician, well outside the scope of just metal and rock.

They write a song that they're both so proud of, Steve asks if he'll record it with him just for fun. The released version would just be Steve.

Eddie agrees.

It's an incredible duet, something country music has needed forever, but Eddie doesn't want that version out there.

The label genuinely accidentally releases their version instead of the Steve only version. As soon as they realize, they remove it from official places, but it's too late.

Fans have already heard it and have gone crazy over it, begging them to let the radio play this version, begging for this version to be available for streaming. The Steve version is great, but it doesn't have the emotion that's laced in the tone of them singing together.

Eddie finally gives in when he sees how happy Steve is about the reaction to it.

But the label decides they want them to tour together, have Eddie work as his opening act, perform his acoustic songs that haven't been officially released anywhere. Eddie can't do it.

He can't go back into that lifestyle. He couldn't do it to his band, who made him promise that he'd come back to them when he got his shit straight. He can't do it to his fans, who stuck by him through some rough shit, but probably wouldn't support a fucking country music career. He definitely can't do it to Steve, who deserves to have someone with him who can be trusted not to go off the deep end.

So he runs. He hides. His uncle welcomes him home, congratulates him on finally embracing his country roots.

It doesn't take long for Steve to find him.

Because he'd been more honest with Steve than he'd ever been with anyone. He told him about his childhood, his Uncle Wayne, his struggle to make it. He told him about his worse struggle when he did make it, how he got in with the wrong people, the wrong things. Prioritized the lifestyle more than his own life.

Of course Steve knew where he'd run to.

Of course Steve came to remind him what his life could be if he allowed himself to find new priorities.

Steve's lips were pretty persuasive, but not nearly as persuasive as his promises to remind him what he could have if he kept his life his priority.

"But what if I let you down?"

"You won't."

"But-"

"No. You won't. You're gonna do amazing things for yourself. And I'm gonna be there to see it happen. That's all."

And he was.

They co-wrote Steve's entire album while Eddie worked on recording his own original songs. He liked that it was an old school rock and roll feel, some blues, some country, some hints of metal sneaking in on a couple songs.

He called his band to come help him with a song, hesitant to even ask, but they came. Of course they came.

He called his Uncle Wayne to play banjo on a song, worried that he wouldn't like the heavier electric guitar notes over it. Of course he loved being involved.

When their tour started, he let himself actually feel nervous.

But instead of running, he looked at the man who supported him through it, even when his own career was on the line.

Of course Steve was there.

The general idea of this story was that Merlin came of age and as a tradition of his kingdom at that age, all the rulers of neighboring countries would send their prince/princess to ask for the hand of Merlin. Because the rulers of the kingdom of Merlin are dragonlords and sorcerers, and therefore the neighboring countries want this alliance.

Since the kingdom of Camelot is against magic, nobody expected Prince Arthur to show up, but he did.

Alone.

Balinor is suspicious, Hunith is supportive, and Merlin doesn’t want to marry.

Chaos begins. 😂

I'm a sucker for the thing with "Rivals" and/or "Enemies" that actually have such a complex dynamic that you can't put a label on it. Where they hate each other. and yet will sit next to each other and share tender words of reassurance. Where they love each other, and yet beat each other to the brink of death. Where they are opposites while also being mirrors. Two sides of the same coin except the coin is made of two different metals. Yin and Yang but you don't know which one takes what role. Forged with the same materials but with different tools. The type of relationship where you can watch hours of analyzation videos, or read dozens of essays about it, but you can never get a definitive answer on what they are to each other. They need each other, and yet would benefit from the destruction of the opposing party. Where they kick and bite and punch and say hateful words, but would be the first to defend the other in times of desperation.

Enemies to Friends to Lovers except they were never really any of those things separately and fill all three roles at the same time. They are soulmates, bound by destiny, and yet never following a strict set of rules.

Steves life is being turned upside down by Eddie Munson, or so he thinks. It starts when Eddie steals the show at the school swim meet, impressing everyone and overshadowing Steve's own accomplishments. But that's only the beginning. Eddie seems to be everywhere Steve is, even befriending Robin and the kids and to even goes far as to talk to Nancy and laugh with her. Steve can't shake the feeling that Eddie is trying to steal everything away from him.

However, that’s far from the truth. Eddie has developed a massive crush on Steve, and his best friend Gareth is tired of hearing about it. Gareth's solution? He tells Eddie to take up Steve's interests in order to get his attention. Eddie eagerly follows Gareth's advice, unaware that Steve is misinterpreting his every move.

I’m not sure if this has been done but I thought this would be a fun idea

I could also imagine the kids bringing Eddie with them to Steve’s place to play dnd and Steve’s like “what’s he doing here?” Also Eddie being super awkward around him.
